work 15 years then get your entire full paycheck FREE for the rest of your life?
If so you belong to a public employee union.
work all your life, never get a paycheck unless you are working at that time, responsible to save for your own retirement?
Then you are a regular non-union family that PAYS FOR YOUR RETIREMENT AND YOU PAY FOR THE UNION MEMBER’S FREE PAYCHECKS FOR LIFE AFTER HE HAS WORKED 15 YEARS.
Simple – Do you get all the goodies, or do you pay for the people who get all the goodies?
We must unite to destroy this system where some of us work hard to pay for the privledged who collect medicaid, collect free paychecks for life while they do not work, who have 10 children they cannot afford and we pay for their school and food
and on and on and on
The American people can NO LONGER AFFORD TO CARRY THE BLOODSUCKERS ON OUR BACKS.
I guess that’s still the same solution from the left……… raising taxes and big government.
How did that nearly one trillion spent on the "stimulus" work out? Didn’t Barry promise big government would mean unemployment wouldn’t go higher than 8%? Didn’t exactly work out that way.
Raising taxes on gas actually hurts the poor and middle class, since it malkes everything from food to clothing cost more.
Isn’t the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? :wall:
What’s the best way to get Americans back to work?
Raise taxes, according to AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka. Specifically, he wants to raise the federal gas tax as a means to fund infrastructure spending. "We need a dedicated source of revenue to create infrastructure in this country," he tells Aaron Task in the accompanying clip.
all this talk of a 2 % draconian cuts is laughable….
the fed needs end programs and lop off at least 1.3 trill and thats just to balance the budget..
the fed needs to add at least another 300 trill in savings to start paying down the 14 trill of debt we have.
"What do I mean? As I reported last summer, people who use e-mail or other services from companies such as Google, AOL, Yahoo, Microsoft and Apple are unwittingly helping the liberals. These companies are, and will continue to be, huge supporters of those who are damaging our country."
and don’t forget the political nutcases who speak for Comcast on MSNBC…
perhaps sane stockholders and customers need to put on some pressure to stop the nonsense.
Early last week, Republican Paul Broun was holding a town hall in Georgia, when he fielded questions from the crowd. The very first question Broun received? Was it about taxes? Jobs? The war in Afghanistan? Unrest in the Middle East? No…the question was..
"Who is going to shoot Obama?"
Now, most rational people would assume that Broun would immediately condemn the questioner, similar to what John McCain did more than 2 years ago when another misguided conservative questioner stated that Barack Obama was an Arab. Surely, Broun did not let the comment stand, right?
Actually, by all accounts, Broun and the rest of the mostly conservative crowd began to laugh with the congressman finally responding, "The thing is, I know there’s a lot of frustration with this president."
Seriously? That is the proper response when one of your constituents insinuates that the President of the United States should be shot? To laugh it off and empathize with the guy’s point of view?
Normally I would just write this off as a politician doing something dumb, but I think there is something a bit more insidious going on here.
1. Paul Broun is the same Republican who refused to attend President Obama’s State of the Union address last month. Instead, he sent out "Tweets" amongst which were "Mr. President, you don’t believe in the Constitution. You believe in socialism."
2. This reinforces the hardcore conservative fascination with gunplay and politics by prominent members of the right wing fringe. Time and time again they seem to enjoy making the connection between the two and giving off that hint that violence is sometimes acceptable to get what you want. How many examples do you need before it becomes a trend?
"People are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies and saying, ‘My goodness what can we do to turn this country around?’ And I’ll tell you the first thing we need to do is take Harry Reid out.”
– Sharon Angle
"Don’t retreat, reload"
– Sarah Palin
"If ballots don’t work, bullets will."
– Joyce Kaufman, conservative radio host and former chief of staff for Republican Allan West
"Empty the clip, and do what has to be done."
– Alabama Republican State Senator Scott Beason, talking about the illegal immigration problem
"They believe in communism. They believe and have called for revolution. You’re going to have to shoot them in the head."
– Glenn Beck
I am sure I could give several more examples off the top of my head, but you get the picture. I know both sides have supporters with extreme viewpoints, but why does it seem like with the right there is this constant threat of violence if they do not get what they want? Why is this kind of language not widely and loudly condemned?
When does playing to the crowds actually become dangerous?
Why do these people always resort to violence is that all they know.
Opps after further review of the information it is now clear it was not the TP in the wrong it was a member of the local 439 that was in the wrong. Just color me surprised that a union thug got violent at the "American Dream" rally. Ole Van Jones would be happy
Story and videos above
An amateur videographer caught a shoving match on tape. The video showed a face to face argument right before Richard Andazola, 28, of Stockton, shoved a tea party activist.
The video doesn’t show the choking incident, but clearly shows the shoving. Because of it, Sacramento Police officers cited Andazola for battery.
