heres and example from georgia
http://blogs.ajc.com/jay-bookman-blo…ut-as-planned/
georgia passed an arizona style immigration bill. this had the desired effect of scarring illegals out of state. The only problem is whos going to work as a migrant farm worker.
right now Georgia has a farm labor crisis. People arent willing to work in the hot georgia sun for an average of $8 per hour..
they need 11000 workers. and cant find them. the result is millions of dollars of crops rotting in the fields.
the farmers in georgia have a real problem.. either pay workers more which puts them at a price disadvantage and could drive them out of business, hire illegals which they cant do or let the crops rot in the fields
Ill admit I dont know what the solution to illegal immigration should be but a law like georgias has unintended consequences
